Our campaigns
Every day, we campaign for more and better jobs, and a more equal, more prosperous country. Join us.
HeartUnions week 2025
HeartUnions week will take place 10-16 February 2025. It’s a chance to tell the story about why unions are vital for everyone at work, and encourage people who aren't yet in a union to join.
Unions Make Work Pay
Unions have been campaigning for years to push the government to deliver higher pay and stronger workers’ rights. And we’re closer than ever to delivering transformative change for working people.
Our Work Matters
The Our Work Matters is a collaborative joint union campaign led by members of trade unions who represent outsourced workers and supported by the TUC.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work and, alongside boosting productivity, offers an opportunity to improve working lives. The TUC believes we are now at a crucial moment in the AI-driven technological workplace revolution.
TUC Anti-Racism Taskforce
The Taskforce is leading the trade union movement’s renewed campaign against racism at work. It will engage with Black workers across the UK to hear about their experiences. And it will produce recommendations on tackling structural racism in the UK, in workplaces and in unions themselves.
Tackling and preventing sexual harassment
Tackling and preventing sexual harassment in all workplaces, including our own, is a priority for the TUC and is key to our aim of growing and diversifying our movement. To effectively challenge sexual harassment, we must challenge the cultures that enable it through practical and proactive action.
Anti-Far Right
Trade unions must join forces with community organisations and other social movements to set our alternative to the politics of hate, rooted in a society that is antiracist and inclusive for all and an economy that rewards work not wealth.
Covid-19 Inquiry
We will be fighting to ensure the inquiry looks in depth on how the government failed to engage with unions effectively in decision making and the impact that had on PPE and the implementation, management and enforcement of workplace safety measures.

Don't reintroduce tribunal fees
The government are planning to re-introduce employment tribunal fees. That means anyone who wants to take their employment case or appeal to tribunal would have to pay! Employment tribunals give workers the ability to challenge injustice at work - this shouldn't come at a price.

Stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine
The TUC condemns the illegal invasion of a sovereign nation and calls for Russia to respect Ukrainian territorial integrity. We join the global union movement in calling for peace and urge all governments to reach a negotiated solution through diplomacy.

Winning flex for all
Four out of five workers in Britain want flexible working, yet too many are missing out. The Government must ensure all workers have stronger legal rights to flexibility.

Guarantee decent sick pay for every worker #SickPayForAll
At a time of skyrocketing cases, fixing statutory sick pay can prevent the spread of the virus and ensure millions can get paid to quarantine safely at home. Everyone has the right to decent sick pay.

Coronavirus - protecting workers
