Everyone deserves fair and decent pay. It’s an essential part of good work and working people need their pay to start rising again, to be paid fairly. Trade unions campaign for the Living Wage because the rate is calculated independently and based on the cost of a basket of goods and services that low paid workers identify as the minimum needed to live a simple but decent life.
