This short guide will show you how you can help tackle racist discrimination at work by negotiating with your employer for better ethnic monitoring and reporting on pay, training, promotion and more.

Who is this interactive learning for?

This piece of learning is for union reps who want to know what ethnicity monitoring is, and how to encourage members to share data and take part.

How will this help me?

This learning will:

  • explain how to negotiate with management in relation to pay monitoring, training and promotion
  • give advice on persuading members to share their data and how it makes the workplace fairer
  • detail practical steps to getting started.
How do I complete it?

All you need is an internet-enabled mobile device (a phone or tablet) or a computer. Do as little or as much as you like each time you log on — your progress will always be saved. Next time you log on just pick up where you left off, this one will take you about 10 minutes to complete.
