Overview

Unions have been negotiating greener work initiatives for many years. From better recycling facilities to greener transport options for working people.

But the ongoing global climate strikes organised by young people have rightly pushed this agenda to the fore of all decision-makers.

Workplaces and working people are key to bringing about the change that needs to happen. The transition to a greener economy can only be successful if working people's voices are heard. And unions are well positioned to make sure that all workplaces do more to protect our environments and save the planet.

This practical event will give trade union members, activists, officers and workplace reps more and new ideas and solutions that help us collectively tackle the climate emergency.

Workshops include:

  • How to negotiate for a greener workplace - with TUC Education
  • How to 'green' your waste at work - with Bristol Waste
  • The role of a 'green rep'
  • Transport: how your workplace can improve.

More information on speakers and workshops will be posted here as soon as they are confirmed.
