This year, TUC Congress is taking place in Liverpool. Every year, our unions come together to shape our policy and set the agenda for the movement.

A big priority for us all is growing and diversifying our movement. Our new General Secretary, Paul Nowak, made this commitment when he took up the post earlier this year. And so as well as debating what we do, we want to bring our reps together to kick off Congress, share best practice and help you do what you do well - support members and grow our movement in the workplace.

On Sunday 10th September, before Congress officially opens, we will host our latest Reps Connect, to bring you and other union reps from across the movement together. This is open to all - new reps, experienced reps and those who might be interested in becoming a rep.

The day is about hearing from unions, and workplace reps, about how we win and make a difference in the workplace. We’re delighted to be joined by:

  • Paul Nowak, TUC General Secretary
  • Sharon Graham, Unite General Secretary
  • Gary Smith, GMB General Secretary
  • Daniel Kebede, NEU General Secretary
  • Maria Exall, TUC President

We’ll also be joined by reps who have been organising, and winning, in the workplace, as well as have breakout sessions to learn skills and share good practice.

When Reps Connect finishes, you'll be able to attend Congress and watch the opening sessions, and attend the delegates welcome reception and drinks afterwards.

If you're wanting to come along, register and share with fellow reps or those you think might be interested in becoming a rep.
