Overview

The TUC Anti-Racism Taskforce in collaboration with Ella Baker School of Organising: Getting your workplace strike ready.

With the cost of living crisis, and employers actually enforcing wage cuts in some areas (P&O being the worst example) trade unions have to be prepared, should all else fail, to take industrial action to win for their members.

But how do you ensure that your workplace is ‘strike ready’, this session convened by the Ella Baker School of Organising, looks are how we can increase union membership, build workplace solidarity through a collective identity or ‘us’, and the practicalities of winning a ballot.

This is not about looking for trouble, but being ready if trouble comes looking for us!

Facilitated by Ella Baker School of Organising

Facilitators Taranjit Chana and Ian Manborde.
