TUC Education is moving

We're moving our website to a new platform, read ahead to find out what this means for your learning.

Stream home page

Thousands of you completed TUC Education’s reps survey in 2019 and we heard you loud and clear that our learning was difficult to navigate, and you wanted a clearer route to resources.

So, we’ll be launching our brand new learning platform in the new year. But, we need a bit of time to get all of our materials ready, so our current site will be closing on the 20th December 2020. Please read the following information to find out what this means for you.

Why are we moving?

We’re moving to a platform called Stream, which increases communication between reps, makes it easier to find content and allows you to set up your own learning plan so resources are catered to you.

We’ll be launching the new site on the 4th January.

When will the current site close?

Our current website, www.tuceducation.org.uk, will close on the 20th December 2020.

What does this mean for my learning?

We’ve divided our site users into three categories (you may appear in one or more of these categories, so please read carefully).

1. You are a learner on a TUC Education course that is being delivered by a tutor

If you fall into this category, you will receive more detailed information from your tutor about the arrangements for your course. Many of these courses will finish this term, but if your course is set to continue next term, we have made special arrangements for this.

2. You have completed some e-learning without a tutor

(e.g. an eNote, the self-study reps’ training – Union Reps Stage 1, Health and Safety Stage 1, Union Learning Reps Stages 1 and 2)

Almost all of our e-learning content will be transferred to our new learning platform. You will be able to view all of this from 4th January on the new site. However, you will need to re-join this site by selecting a new username and password.

The exception to this transfer will be the Union Learning Reps Stages 1 and 2 courses. Due to the changes in funding for the union learning programme, we will be updating these courses and making them available again soon.

If you are part way through a piece of e-learning, please remember to complete this before 20th December.

3. You are a tutor delivering a course

See the separate email sent from your Education Officer at TUC Education.

Between the 20th December and 4th January, you’ll still be able to access all of our rep guides on the TUC website, all of our webinars on our YouTube channel and our content on Covid-19
