TUC Education delivers the majority of it's online learning via Stream. This service is provided to you, subject to the following terms, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice; without prior notice of this, and acceptance from you. 1. Discussion threads
1.1 Any message posted on the discussion threads expresses only the views of the message author and does not necessarily reflect the views of the TUC/unionlearn or administrators and moderators. Neither these threads, nor any person or entity associated with them, will be held responsible for the contents, accuracy, completeness or validity of any information posted in them.
1.2 Any user who believes that a posted topic, or comment on that topic, is objectionable is encouraged to contact the moderators immediately by emailing tuceducationhelp@tuc.org.uk. We will make every effort to review reported comments and take appropriate action within a reasonable period of time. Since this is a manual process, you are advised that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
1.3 By registering for and using Stream, you signify that you agree to the following statements:
1.3.1 You will not use our discussion threads to post any material, or links to any material, which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or which would violate any law.
1.3.2 You are solely responsible for the content of your contributions to these discussions, and that you will indemnify and hold harmless the TUC/unionlearn and their agents and employees with respect to any claim based upon the appearance and/or transmission of your contribution(s).
1.3.3 You will not post any copyrighted material without the express permission of the copyright holder, unless you, or this platform own such copyright.
1.3.4 You will not advertise or offer to sell any goods or services for any commercial purpose on this platform, or post information from chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations.
1.3.5 You will not impersonate another person or organisation when registering or posting to these discussions.
1.3.6 You will not restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the discussions.
1.4 We reserve the right to edit, move or delete any material posted in the discussion threads for reasons of clarity, or to ensure the threads are as useful as possible, at our sole discretion.
1.5 We reserve the right to edit and/or remove objectionable messages, or those which we have received complaint reports about from other users.
1.6 We reserve the right to ban or restrict users who we judge to be abusing this platform, or who do not adhere to their obligations above, and remove any or all of their posts from the dicussions, without appeal.
1.7 We reserve the right to change the structure or features of the site, or to add or remove discussions or topics as and when we see fit.
2. Materials and resources
2.1 In contributing to this platform, you agree that you do not retain copyright of the work, and that the TUC/unionlearn has the right to publish it. No one shall, without prior consent of the TUC/unionlearn transmit, reproduce or store any of the material from Stream in any other web site or incorporate or reproduce any material in any database whether electronic, manual or printed from. Requests for consent should be submitted to the TUC/unionlearn.
2.2 Any materials published on Stream are the intellectual property of the TUC/unionlearn. Any use of materials from the website should be credited to TUC Education with permission.
2.3 Intellectual property means any and all trademarks, course materials, rights in designs, business or domain names, copyrights, future copyrights, know how, trade secrets and other confidential information and all other intellectual property rights of a similar or corresponding nature that may now or in the future subsist in any part of the world.
3. External links
3.1 TUC Education content on Stream contains links to third party web sites that are maintained by others. These links are provided solely as a convenience to you, and not as an endorsement of the contents on such third-party Web sites by the TUC, TUC Education, or any other affiliated party.
3.2 The TUC/unionlearn is not responsible for the content of linked third-party sites and cannot make any representations regarding the content or accuracy of materials on such third-party Web sites. We welcome suggestions for new links in the directory, but reserve the right to publish or not publish links at our own discretion.
