About - Unity Works

Paid holidays. Safer workplaces. The minimum wage. None of these rights were handed down from above. Working people won them by standing together and that same power still exists today.

The challenges working people face now

Work today looks very different from a generation ago.

Living costs are rising. Too many jobs feel insecure. New technologies like AI are transforming industries and creating uncertainty about what comes next.

Change is happening quickly. But change does not have to mean insecurity.

When working people have a voice in shaping the future, change can mean opportunity instead.

Why Unity Works

When working people unite, progress follows

Every generation has faced moments of change.

History shows that when working people come together and make their voices heard, progress follows.

We can already see that today - through organising in unions, millions of workers have secured new rights through recent legislation including sick pay from day one, guaranteed-hours contracts and an end to exploitative fire-and-rehire practices.

These wins show something important: Working people still have the power to shape the future, for themselves and for the country.

What we’re fighting for

What unity can deliver

  • For work that pays
  • For secure jobs and decent conditions
  • For strong public services
  • For fair taxes on the super-wealthy
  • For respect at work and in our communities

Because working hard should mean living well. Everyone should be able to pay their bills, support their family and enjoy life with dignity and security.

So join our campaign

Let’s come together again and fight for work that pays, secure jobs and strong public services. For fair taxes on the super-wealthy. For respect. For communities that can thrive.

Working people changed things before - and we can do it again. Join the campaign and be part of it.
