The Young Rep of the Year award went to Daragh O'Neill of Sheffield Trades Council.
Resolutions passed covered a wide range of topics and these will make up the TUC’s workplan for the coming year. Resolutions passed can be viewed here
This year’s AGM also hosted our first Young Trade Unionists’ Fringe event which was attended by 15 delegates who participated in workshops on topics including McStrike methods and digital campaigning as well as panel discussions on New politics and Brexit. Then on Sunday morning some of the fringe delegates addressed the main conference. Their contribution was inspiring and encouraging to all present.
There was a wide range of stalls for delegates to visit including the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, the Yorkshire and Humber Pensioners Convention and the Morning Star.
TUC Yorkshire and the Humber are very grateful to our sponsors, Thompsons Solicitors, who have supported this event for many years, and also to Keystone Financial who sponsored the Young Trade Unionists Fringe.
