TUC LESE International Affairs Committee

The Committee meets quarterly and is open to all London, East & South East (LESE) affiliated unions and guests.

The Committee meets quarterly and is open to all London, East & South East  (LESE) affiliated unions.

The Committee meets to discuss the international work of the Region, the work of the affiliated unions and to hear from speakers on topics of interest.  Previous guest speakers have covered South Africa, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Palestine, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, USA and more.

Joint events have been held with the LESE Public Services Committee on fighting austerity in Europe and with the LESE Race Relations Committee on fighting the rise of fascism in Greece. The Officers of the Committee, the annual timetable and plan are agreed every year at the June AGM.
