Commenting on the NHS Pay Review Body’s recommendations today (Thursday) that unsocial hours pay is not a barrier to delivering a seven day service, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“We welcome the independent Pay Review Body’s view that seven day NHS services cannot be introduced by cutting workers' pay and conditions. The government should respect their expert judgment that a genuine seven day service, based on clinical need, will need more staff and funding.”
