TUC hosts trade unions from Palestine and the Middle East
In June, the TUC arranged an advocacy delegation with Shaher Sa’ed, General Secretary of the PGFTU and Dr Hind Bennemar, Executive Secretary of the Arab TUC.
The delegation and TUC met with government Ministers, MPs including chairs of the APPG on Britain-Palestine, unions, and Palestinian Ambassador Zomlot who also spoke at the joint TUC-Labour Friends of Palestine and the Middle East parliamentary event.
The delegation called with the TUC for the UK government to ban trade with the illegal settlements, for the UK-Israel trade agreement to be suspended and to end all arms trade and military collaboration with Israel, in line with international law.
