Promoting workers rights in trade deals

The TUC is working with trade unions across the world and through ITUC and ETUC to push for trade unions to be involved in trade negotiations and monitoring the impact of trade deals to ensure they promote workers’ rights, human rights, gender equality, Sustainable Development Goals, good jobs and redress inequalities between the Global North and Global South.

Promoting and protecting the rights of women workers in the agricultural sector in Palestine

Women make up the majority of the workforce in the agricultural sector in Palestine and the illegal settlements. They face systemic discrimination, low wages and poor working conditions. Most workers do not know about their rights or how to enforce them. The greatest challenge these women face is the negative impact of the occupation on the agricultural sector.
