Cuba Vive appeal: urgent call for medical aid donations

The General Purposes Committee is supporting the Cuba Vive appeal, a collection to provide urgent medical aid to Cuba as its people face severe shortages from the ongoing US blockade.

Details will be announced from the Congress floor. Unions are encouraged to share the following list of items for donation at the Cuba Solidarity Campaign stall in advance of Congress.

Items for Donation:

• RJ-2 Eco Nebuliser
• Needles and Hypodermic Syringes (in large quantities)
• Essential Medical Supplies Kit (This comprehensive kit for a hospital or clinic includes items such as blood transfusion sets, syringes, surgical gloves, thermometers, and various medicines like paracetamol, hydrocortisone, and folic acid tablets.)
• Paediatric Resuscitators with Infant and Toddler Masks
• Common over-the-counter medicines such as Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, Antihistamines, Hydrocortisone cream, Folic Acid tablets, and Omeprazole/Esomeprazole.

All items should be sealed in new boxed packaging, and should be wrapped in clear plastic.
