Overview

During Disability History Month we will be hosting a joint webinar with the TUC’s Disabled Workers’ Committee and ACAS on preventing disability discrimination at work.

Reps will hear from speakers Dawn Lovett, a Senior Health Care Support Worker and GMB member and Deirdre Costigan National Officer for Disability Equality at UNISON.

They will talk practically about how their unions are working with employers to prevent disability discrimination at work and they’ll update reps on what advice, support, including reasonable adjustments they should expect from their employers when it comes to treating disabled people fairly at work.

Joining them on the panel will be Julie Dennis Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at ACAS, who will discuss how to challenge high levels of disability discrimination at its core.

Disability History Month runs from 16 November to 16 December 2022.
