Overview

Are you planning an event? Let us help!

Every year we organise a campaign during HeartUnions week and this year the theme is tackling sexual harassment at work.

Look out for more details about how you and your workmates can take action on sexual harassment, and use the campaign to encourage non-members to get involved. The campaign will include:

  • A model workplace/employer policy to get your employer to sign up to
  • A mass membership zoom call to galvanise activists, give advice and get them to take action with their mates in their workplace
  • Follow-up advice on how to plan an event or campaign on winning your workplace policy
  • A toolkit and suite of printed literature that we can send you to support your activities

Order your event pack HERE!

We'll also be rolling out new training on how to have organising conversations, as well as materials and advice to support you in getting new members into your union.
This will include:

  • A national TUC Education webinar in the week leading up to HeartUnions on “Having a Good Organising Conversation: 101,” aimed at all reps and activists wanting to learn or get a refresher on speaking to unorganised colleagues
  • A face to face workshop for activists on ‘how to organise’
  • A toolkit of downloadable materials to support a week of ‘conversations’ with colleagues and un-unionised workers about the value of being a union

HeartUnions week is all about recruiting. It’s a chance to tell the story about why unions are vital for everyone at work, and encourage people who aren't yet in a union to join. It gives reps and activists the opportunity to publicise what they've been doing and make the case for union membership.

Order your event pack before the end of January to make sure you get it in time 😊

Join us on HeartUnions week and ❤❤ be loud, be proud, BE UNION! ❤❤
