International Women's Day 2016 - What's on in Newcastle?

Women all over the world celebrate International Women’s Day, to mark various achievements of women but also to draw attention to the plight of many women all over the world and to challenge the status quo. The theme set for this year by the United Nations (UN) is ‘Pledge for Parity’ #PledgeforParity. Many voluntary and community groups hold events and activities to celebrate International Women’s Day; these groups arrange events and activities all year round.
