BECTU is the UK's media and entertainment union, now part of the 140,000 strong Prospect. We provide comprehensive support and representation to staff and freelancers working in broadcasting and film production, theatre and the arts, live events, digital media and leisure. We represent workers in all non-performance roles*, be they technical, creative or administrative, with the range of employment issues. From the producer/director to the customer service assistant, if you work in media and entertainment, BECTU is your union. BECTU represents a single performance grade, the background artiste.

Cost: 

The standard introductory rate is £10 a month for the first year. New entrants, joining within a year of graduation or entry, pay £5 a month for the first year.
