Nationwide Group Staff Union (NGSU) represents the views of over 12,500 employees at Nationwide Building Society. We stand for fairness, dignity and respect in the workplace and work to protect the interests of our members. We campaign for fair pay, pensions and conditions of service and provide advice on workplace issues, individual representation and legal support if things go wrong at work.

We represent all Nationwide Building Society employees for collective bargaining, including dual recognition rights with Unite the Union for employees that joined Nationwide from Virgin Money. We also have recognition for bargaining units in Aegon UK and Computacenter.
NGSU rates are £12.40 a month for full-time employees and £6.80 for part-time employees. Further discounted rates are available for employees working less than 16 hours. Employees on maternity leave pay just £2.90.
