TUC Leading Change Programme 2026/27

The TUC Education Leading Change programme is an established training and development programme for senior trade union employees in leadership positions who are employed by the union. Since its establishment over 320 officials have graduated the programme.

Nominations for the 2026/27 programme are now open. The session dates are as follows:

Session 1 - Organising Unions in a Changing World - 5 & 6 November 2026 at Warwick University

Session 2 - Leading Digital Change - 28 & 29 January 2027 in Birmingham

Session 3 - Equality and Governance in Trade Unions - 18th & 19th March 2027 in London

Session 4 - Effective Campaigning and Winning Legislative Change - 23 & 24 April 2027 in London

Session 5 - This will be an overseas study visit in June or July 2027

The cost of the programme is £1,900 per participant. This does not include additional costs such as travel and accommodation.

Unions are invited to nominate appropriate officers in senior position (leaders, national officers, department heads, regional secretaries etc.) who are employed by the union, using the form at the link below. The deadline for nominations is 15th October 2026. Please note we do not accept nominations for lay officers. Submit your nominations
