About this resource

The menopause is often treated negatively or as a joke within the workplace. Very few workplaces have policies in place to support those who experience difficulties during the menopause. This needs to change.

As a union rep, you can make a difference.

Who is this interactive learning for?

This piece of learning is for union members and reps who want to learn how to support those experiencing difficulties due to menopause in the workplace.

How will this help me?

This learning will:

  • explain why the menopause is a workplace issue
  • detail what the symptoms are and who is affected
  • give guidance on what reps can do.
How do I complete it?

All you need is an internet-enabled mobile device (a phone or tablet) or a computer. Do as little or as much as you like each time you log on — your progress will always be saved. Next time you log on just pick up where you left off. This piece of learning will take you about 20 minutes to complete.

Will I get anything for doing this?

Upon completion of this piece of learning, you will receive a digital credential as proof. This will be sent to you via email (from the TUC via Acclaim), so please keep a look out for it.

A digital credential is evidence that you have completed this piece of learning. You can share your credential with your union colleagues or employer to show them what you know.
