Each year, union representatives help thousands of people to change their working lives for the better and the TUC has a long-established record of delivering high quality effective training for its union representatives. Recently, there have been significant changes to the ways that this training is delivered with changes to facility time, a decline in the number of colleges offering the programme and crucially, a change in the way that reps want to receive their training. These changes mean that unions need new ways to deliver training.
A grant from the UfI Charitable Trust in 2015 allowed the TUC to instigate a step change in our use of digital platforms and create a new online suite of core rep courses. These new courses have been found to be effective and well received by learners. This evaluation report presents the results of a learner survey and feedback.
