Produced in partnership with Macmillian Cancer Support, this interactive guide raised awareness of the impact of cancer in the workplace and how union reps can support member affected by cancer in the workplace.

Who is this interactive learning for?

This piece of learning is for union reps and members who want to know about the effect cancer can have in the workplace and how union reps can support colleagues experiencing this issue.

How will this help me?

This learning will:

  • explain what cancer is and highlight some of the side effects and its treatments
  • examine the law relating to cancer
  • detail the role that union reps play in supporting members affected by cancer.
How do I complete it?

All you need is an internet-enabled mobile device (a phone or tablet) or a computer. Do as little or as much as you like each time you log on — your progress will always be saved. Next time you log on just pick up where you left off, this one will take you just over 30 minutes to complete.

WillI get anything for doing this?

Upon completion of this piece of learning, you will receive a digital credential as proof. This will be sent to you via email (from the TUC via Acclaim), so please keep a look out for it.
