Black women's experience of sexual harassment in the workplace

The TUC undertook this research in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London in order to create a space for Black women to share their experiences and inform the work we do to tackle sexual harassment in the workplace. As the voice of more than 5.5 million working people, we have an obligation to ensure that our movement is responding to the biggest challenges working people face.

TUC Equalities Campaign Plan 2024 – 2026

Our Equality Campaign Plan provides affiliates with details of the overarching narrative for the work that we do to challenge inequality in the workplace and covers our work on Black workers, women, disabled workers, young workers and LGBT+ workers. The priorities outlined here have been identified by our democratic structures and through our statutory conferences and are set out in the context of the driving aims of the TUC running until 2026.

Making hybrid inclusive

Our research finds that access to and experiences of home/hybrid are inherently linked to other forms of discrimination at work, in this case workplace racism, and that well-designed hybrid working is essential to avoid exacerbating discrimination and also to promote equality.
