Martin Furlong is the Deputy General Secretary for the Royal College of Podiatry where he leads on all trade union and employment issues.

He has been on the General Council since 2019.

Martin has previously worked for other unions in the healthcare sector as well as in the Civil Service, Aviation, Telecommunications and Finance.

Outside of his trade union role, Martin is a keen music fan.
