In a world that often feels designed to divide us, it's crucial to remember where the real power lies: not with the wealthy elite who profit from our divisions, but with us, the working people. The power to improve our living standards, secure fair wages, and ensure an equal distribution of wealth and resources rests in our collective hands. The TUC is committed to building this collective power through our unions and their members, and we're doing it through the new TUC Growth Hub
We've seen the incredible success of the TUC Solidarity Hub, a dedicated space launched in 2023 to support unions, reps, and members engaged in industrial action. This hub has been a powerhouse, supporting over 450 national and local union campaigns and tracking over 2,000 industrial actions by TUC affiliates. Now, we're building on that success with the new TUC Growth Hub, a dedicated resource for strengthening union organising, driving membership growth, and winning recognition.
The Growth Hub, developed in collaboration with our affiliated unions, is the central point for unions to access resources and share information on organising activities. It provides practical guidance on how to leverage legislative changes, such as those in the Employment Rights Bill, and facilitates collaboration across the movement. With reforms to access agreements, ballot thresholds, and improved balloting processes, our unions are better equipped than ever to organise, recruit, and secure recognition, winning for workers across the country.
The Growth Hub will help turn these wins into sustained union membership. Our new website provides support for building membership and winning recognition campaigns. We have detailed case studies, an online learning tool to guide you through winning recognition, and a newly established online support portal for bespoke assistance. Our new TUC National Recognition Database records both voluntary and statutory recognition agreements, providing valuable insights.
The Growth Hub is at the heart of our mission to build a stronger, more diverse, and more powerful trade union movement.
