About

Stuart is regional secretary for TUC Midlands.

Stuart has been active within the trade union movement since the late 1990s. After organising school support staff in protests against pay cuts, he became a Workplace Rep in a SEND school.

He went onto join GMB Union as a full time official in 2007. As Senior Organiser for GMB, Stuart led one of the teams supporting Amazon workers at sites in the Midlands fighting for decent pay and a unionised workplace, and the women workers of Birmingham City Council win their battle for equal pay.
