Gavin Pearce

Gavin is one of TUC Cymru’s team of Policy and Communications Support Officers, supporting TUC Cymru’s work.

In his role, Gavin collaborates closely with the TUC Cymru Trade Union education team to deliver training and development programs for union representatives across Wales.

Gavin is part of the newly formed Communications Team within TUC Cymru and deals with the more complex and demanding aspects of graphic design and is the main point of contact for digital and print media design. On an ad-hoc basis you may find Gavin with a camera in hand taking some in-house photography and video.

Gavin also plays a pivotal role as the events organizer and coordinator for TUC Cymru, overseeing key events including:

• TUC Cymru Congress
• Annual tutor briefings

Gavin has over 30 years experience in graphic design and was previously a Department Manager and Graphic Designer within the Presentation and Technical Services department at Corus Strip Products UK, Port Talbot Works. He later transitioned to Virgin Media, where he became the Communications Workers Union Health & Safety Representative at the Matrix Court site.

Outside of TUC Cymru, Gavin is a big rugby fan, often spending a Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning supporting his nephews who play for their local rugby team. When not on the sidelines, you may spot him in the mountains or walking along the coastline often with a camera in one hand and a tripod in the other.
