The TUC is calling on the government to act on the OECD’s call today (Tuesday) to give zero-hours workers enhanced rights, and to tighten rules to prevent employers exploiting bogus self-employment.
TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:
“The OECD is right to say that insecure work is holding Britain back. Now it’s time for the PM to keep her promise to help working people stuck on dodgy contracts.
“We need to make the economy fair for all working people. That means banning exploitative zero-hour contracts and cracking down on bogus self-employment.”
