“We welcome the Children's Commissioner's proposal for greater government and union engagement. Trade unions representing school workers are keen to meet directly with the Secretary of State to establish a task force to oversee the safe opening of schools. We all want children in school, but only with an evidence-based safety plan and timetable that protects pupils, parents, school staff and the wider community."
