"Risks" update for July
Support a victimised safety rep Health and safety rep Kevin Scally, at Edinburgh College, has been singled out for redundancy in a disgraceful move by management that his union, EIS, is calling a clear case of victimisation.
They are now on strike demanding his reinstatement, and are inviting supporters everywhere to write to the College management to support them. Details here if you're able to add your name to the call.
Firefighters with no PPE? You'll hardly believe this one *|FNAME|*, but it's real.
Fire service employers are trying to send firefighters into burning, exposed to toxic fumes, buildings without their breathing apparatus. The FBU is fighting this, and has called in HSE to investigate, who took a year to investigate before deciding it was happy with the decision(!).
