Inflation figures show how weak UK economy is, says TUC

Commenting on today’s inflation figures, which show CPI inflation falling to 1.5%, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:  

“Today’s inflation figures show how badly our economy is doing.

“Growth rates are their lowest in a decade and employment is falling.

“Years of austerity and the threat of a no-deal have taken a heavy toll on growth and living standards. We need a better plan for our economy that puts working families first.”
