Commenting on today’s (Friday) report from the Public Accounts Committee, which warns of severe customs disruption the day after Brexit, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:
“This is another example of the government’s criminal lack of preparation for Brexit. Ministers seem unaware of the consequences of their own red lines.
“The government should have kept membership of the customs union and single market on the table. Their refusal to do so is coming back to bite them.
“We face the prospect of border chaos after Brexit. So much for taking back control.”
