Government must invest to boost growth instead of giving tax breaks to the rich, says TUC

Commenting on new inflation figures published today (Wednesday) by the Office for National Statistics, which show CPI inflation remaining at 2.0%, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“With inflation stable but growth flatlining, the government must take urgent action to shore up the economy.

“We need an investment boost that benefits all of Britain’s workers and their families. That means investing in infrastructure and public services instead of giving tax breaks to the rich.”
