Commenting on publication today (Wednesday) of a BEIS select committee report, which calls on the government to urgently bring together workers and employers to manage the transition to automation, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:
“Working people will welcome the recognition that they need to be involved in managing these big changes.
“Ministers should set up a Future of Work Commission for government, business and trade unions to manage this change together. And we need workplace technology agreements, so that all working people have a say in their workplace too.”
