Commenting on new GDP data published today (Tuesday), which shows zero growth for the three months to October, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:
“A decade of cuts has held back the economy. It’s been starved of investment and growth has now ground to a halt.
“Britain is now desperate for investment. We need our public services rebuilding. And we need modern infrastructure to help every town attract new industry and decent jobs.
“Let’s use our votes to rebuild the economy from the grassroots, so it can improve the lives of working-class families.”
