Britain should remain in customs union, says TUC

Commenting on today’s (Tuesday) government proposals for a new customs deal with the EU after Brexit, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“If the government’s starting to realise that it's worth staying in the customs union in all but name, that's good news.

“Working people's jobs, rights and livelihoods depend on maintaining our trade with Europe. Staying within the customs union is really important to achieving this.”
