About this Role

The role

You will identify and support workplace activists, engage potential members, and help deliver UNISON’s organising strategy across the Scotland region.

The person

The successful candidates will bring:

  • Strong skills in one-to-one communication, recruitment and organising.
  • Experience in campaigning and motivating others.
  • The ability to inspire confidence and build relationships across diverse workplaces.
  • An understanding of trade unionism and UNISON’s values.
  • Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser, or campaigner (desirable but not essential).

For this role you will need to be able to travel within the region as required, your office will be based in Glasgow .  

The successful candidate will need to be flexible with their working hours. Reaching members can be challenging during “office hours” so the successful candidate may be required to work in the evening, early mornings and occasionally at weekends.
