UNISON Northamptonshire Health Workers Branch is seeking a committed and skilled case worker to support our members across the County. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to Health Workers’ working lives ensuring they receive high-quality advice, representation and advocacy when they need it most.
The successful candidate will provide front line support to UNISON Members facing workplace issues, and work closely with Branch Officers, Staff, workplace reps and regional Unison Colleagues to deliver timely, professional, and confidential casework.
This position is 37.5 hours per week and is a permanent position subject to a 6-month probationary period.
We are looking for someone passionate about workers’ rights, confident in handling sensitive issues, with the ability to represent members effectively in formal meetings. The role is ideal for someone with experience in case management, employee relations, advocacy, or trade union support. Experience with the NHS or health sector is an advantage but not essential.
Candidates must be able to travel within Northamptonshire and, occasionally, elsewhere for meetings or training as required. The designated place of work will be the Branch Office Hub at Kettering General Hospital with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements depending on Branch needs.
