About the role
BALPA is looking for a Communications Officer (Digital) to play a central role in delivering our digital transformation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands digital platforms from the inside: someone who is confident supporting the build of a digital ecosystem, can think about UX and navigate a data integration.
You will be a part of a small but dedicated communications team, with all team members supporting tasks such as writing copy, producing social media content and elevating our profile with key stakeholder audiences. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this role also works closely with our external suppliers.
This is a rare, influential opportunity to shape BALPA's digital future at a pivotal moment for the organisation.

About BALPA
BALPA is the trade union and professional body for pilots and helicopter crews in the UK, representing around 10,000 members across 20 companies. We are currently in a period of transformation and improvement, working to modernise and put members at the front and centre of our union. It is an exciting time to join our team and play a leading role in shaping BALPA's future.
We offer a collaborative, values-led working environment, a defined contribution pension scheme, 30 days' annual leave (rising to 32 after 5 years), and a hybrid working policy with up to 3 days working from home.
You can apply for the role by sending your CV and a covering letter (no more than two sides) setting out why you would be a great fit for the role to recruitment@balpa.org by midday Tuesday 27 October.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified by close of business on 28 October and invited to complete a short, 30 minute written task ahead of the interview. The task should be submitted by close of business on Friday 6 November, and will provide the basis for part of the interview discussion.
