Organise an event to mark #IWMD

Organise an event with other union members so your colleagues have the opportunity to hear speeches about the importance of workplace health and safety. You could ask injured workers and family members to talk first-hand about the need for strong health and safety protections, the important of campaigning, and the advantages of having strong and active unions.

You could get creative and organise a stunt and reach out to the press to increase public awareness of the dangers working people face on the job.

Consider inviting elected officials and community leaders to participate in your events and spread the word through social media using #IWMD.
