Did you know there was once a time when the rich didn't just get richer? From 1945, the percentage of wealth going to the top 1% went down. How did this happen?

As union membership went up, a bigger proportion of income went to working people. It paid to work. Obviously, not everyone was happy with this, so in 1980, Margaret Thatcher brought in anti-union laws that made it harder to organise. And as the number of trade unionists fell, the wealth of the 1% started to rise once more.

If you want a fair economy where the wealth is shared with everyone, not just the richest, then join a union today.

It's worked before, it will work again.
