Marking Worker's Memorial Day at Bristol Cathedral

Honour the dead. Fight for the living.

Workers' Memorial Day is marked around the world. Those killed and injured as a result of work are remembered and the fight to keep people safe is redoubled.

Meet at College Green at 12.30pm for a gathering in Bristol Cathedral between 1pm and 2pm. All welcome. Bring banners.

Songs from Red Notes Choir, speakers from different faiths, beliefs and campaigns including Canon Tim Higgins, Michelle Stanistreet, General Secretary of the National Union of Journalists, Nigel Costley, South West TUC Regional Secretary, Julia Verne, Director South West Public Health Observatory, Farzana Saker, Bristol Multi-Faith Forum, Sam Maher, Labour behind the Label, Dave Smith, Blacklist Support Group and others.

Followed by a wreath-laying at the Workers' Memorial Plaque in Castle Park at 2.30pm
