About

In 2025, Matt was appointed as Assistant Director of External Relations leading the TUC's work on engaging government ministers, MPs, regional political leaders, civil servants, policy partners and think tanks and other decision makers.

Prior to this, Matt worked at the TUC as the public affairs manager and as a senior policy officer covering public services, transport and civil society.

Before joining the TUC, he worked for the Mayor of London as well as several years in the civil service. He's been an active rep for both PCS and UNISON, and was also a founder member of Justice for Colombia.
