Commenting on the latest inflation figures published today (Tuesday), which show Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation unchanged 0.3%, and core inflation unchanged at 1.2 %, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:
“Continuing low inflation is a sign that the economy is not operating at full strength. With the global economy slowing down, the government missed an opportunity to support stronger growth in last week’s Budget.
“We need investment in skills, infrastructure and public services to promote growth for the long-term.”
