Handling Redundancy
This TUC guide to redundancy is written against the backdrop of the coronavirus (Covid-19) public health emergency, but the information and guidance in it is designed to support union reps for the long haul.
The guide includes sections on collective consultation, individual consultation and selection, redundancy pay, apprentices and moving forward with learning and training. This online version comes with content bookmarks to help move around the guide, and links to other sources of information.
Please note since publication of this guide the job retention scheme referred to in the guide, designed to protect jobs through the Covid-19 pandemic, has been extended - most recently until the end of April 2021.
