The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approach to dealing with work-related stress is set out in its Management Standards. This involves systematically addressing the six major work stressors: demand; control; support; relationship; role; and change. The HSE claims that if these six work areas are properly managed, work-related stress can be reduced.
