Accessibility

Delegates will have notified the TUC before Congress of particular access needs such as seating requirements and documentation. All meeting rooms have an induction loop. There are accessible toilets in the main venue and on the upper level. There is level access from the street into the venue via a ramp. More information

Credential badge holders

All credential badge holders must enter Manchester Central by the Charter entrance (to your right when facing the venue). No-one will be allowed entry to the building without their credential being worn and easily visible; and you must keep your credential visible for checking within the building too.

You will also need to keep with you your secondary photo ID, such as a passport or modern driver’s licence. Manchester Central security will undertake bag checks at the main entrance.

Belongings

Please ensure you remove all  belongings from the Congress Hall at the end of each morning and afternoon session of Congress. Manchester Central keeps lost property for two months. After this time it is given to charity. If you have lost something at Manchester Central, email concierge@manchestercentral.co.uk or call 0161 834 2700.

Distribution of leaflets

Leaflets, booklets and appeals may only be distributed from stands in the exhibition area. TUC stewards will be checking this restriction is observed. It is against the rules of Congress to distribute material relating to motions. This could lead to them being removed from the Agenda.

Congress documents

Extra copies of Congress documentation are on sale from the TUC Publications/Bookmarks stand (Stand 11) in the exhibition area.

Refreshments

Refreshment points are in the  exhibition area. The café sells a range of food and drink including hot meals and snacks.
