This online event, hosted by the LESE Race Relations Committee and chaired by Peggy-Ann Fraser, marks the 78th anniversary of the Windrush Generation’s arrival in Britain. The discussion will reflect on the significant social, economic, and cultural contributions of Caribbean communities, while also examining the injustices of the Windrush deportation scandal.
The event will explore the lasting impact of these injustices, the role of institutional racism, and the ongoing fight for justice and equality, providing an important space for reflection, learning, and dialogue.
